Fueling for Activity and Training Quality

June 20, 2019

it seems like with the diet Luke that the body is very good at trafficking in fuel sources if you set things up appropriately and I think that's an interesting way as coaches to actually think about putting a diet plan together you know it's fuel for the activity because we talk about general population all your life but if you're not training then all of this discussion is fuckery we had a we had a client she's been working with us for a few months and she's just not really seeing any results and i'm looking at the i'm looking at our we use chronometer to track everything and i'm looking at it like fuck man she's hardly eating something like 1300 calories and we pushed up to 1700 she gained a kilo she's not happy i'm looking at it so then i i asked isaac i said to find out get her training program she's not training with us we're just running her diet so she she sends in her training program i'm looking at it going man this is atrocious like it's fucking horrible and it's just unfortunate because I know the coach that wrote it. But then I look at her check-in sheets and she's only lifting one day a week and she's walking like 200 minutes a week and she plays tennis a couple of times a week. And I'm like, fuck, like 1,700 calories for a girl who's 55 kilos that's doing nothing is nuts. So we fucking drop her down to 1,100. And I hate doing that, but if she's not willing to train, then she doesn't need all those calories. Absolutely. You know, maybe there was some merit in what Charles used to say, you know, earn your carbs. Earn your carbs. Very good.
