To take something like a high fructose corn syrup, like saying, well, you know, we can't drink Coca-Cola. Therefore, we shouldn't have a banana. That's ridiculous. And I would even say I don't even see a problem with Coca-Cola as long as somebody stays under their calorie limit. And as long as it keeps them on track and they don't go crazy and eat a whole chocolate cake, then I'm all right with that. Wait, what? Coca-Cola is okay? I can go drink soda now? No, that's not what he was saying. Listen closely and you'll hear that the key is if someone is training and they've got the ability to handle the Coke, if having a Coke keeps them otherwise compliant with their plan, it's okay, especially if they were drinking six Cokes a day and they've cut it back to one. Compliance and progress are key when it comes to fitness and nutrition.
