Supplementation Stacks for Performance and Recovery

March 29, 2017

So let's just change directions for a moment. Luke, since one of your strong suits is picking the right supplementation protocols, have you got any hacks or supplement stacks that may benefit fighters with the performance, recovery, or cognitive function? Yeah, so like stated earlier, lactate is a big deal. So some of the things we'll give, we find that guys that are overly producing lactate are typically deficient in vitamin B1 and thiamine. So we typically give them a little bit of benfothiamine, which is a fat-soluble B1, which is something I got from Michael McAvoy from Metabolic Healing. It works really, really well, like around 500 milligrams twice a day. We also use a lot of things, like we use the beta-alanine. We use creatine a lot for the mental game and also for more energy production. Something else that's of interest, And this is not something I recommend people do. You really need to know about methylation. But in order to make the backbone for ATP, which is your body's energy currency, you have to have good methylation pathways, right? So adding in a little bit of methylated folate and or making sure you're eating a lot of good leafy greens, so a lot of cooked spinach, kale, stuff like that. and you know we try to use as much food nutrition as we can and then we utilize supplementation on top of that so we look at energy production and we look at dampening inflammation okay so what we use for that is we use a berberine we'll also use things like bergamot extract we use things like curcumin we use a lot of curcumin a lot of curcumin a lot of boswellian
