Common Mistakes When Starting a Diet

February 18, 2021

I think one of the things is not taking a global assessment of where you are, because the thing is, you need to look, where are you physiologically? Are you even ready to begin this journey? The second thing is, are you there psychologically? Can you actually do it? Because, you know, pushing hard only works if you have the mindset to push through the tough times. If you're going to break the minute things get difficult, then maybe you should slow down a bit. And another thing is what's your why? Like, why do you feel you need to do this? Because that's important because motivation only goes so far if you don't have a good why. I think a lot of things, identity as well, because people do a lot of this stuff for the wrong reasons. If you're overweight and your doctor says you need to lose weight or you're going to die, that's a big motivator. That's a different thing than somebody who says, oh, I've got the opportunity to be a model and maxim. That's it. There's a complete one of them is I'm going to die versus one of them. Oh, I'm going to get fame and fortune and all this. So those are two different drivers. You need to make sure your driver is good enough to keep you compliant long enough to get where you want to be. A lot of people just decide to lose weight. They don't know how much weight they want to lose. It's usually a lot more of what they need to lose a lot more than what they think they need to lose. I think that people need to stop rushing things. You know, if you were going to go, if you were in a, let's say you had a neighbor that was pissing you off, you know, maybe built his fence too far onto your property and all this. You wouldn't, you wouldn't go buy a fucking pipe bomb and blow his house up. You'd probably just go slap him, right? There's no reason to throw a nuclear bomb on something when words will work, right? So why jump into things and smash yourself when you don't really need that at the start? You use that for when you get stuck. Another issue that I see is in the middle of training, too. So I don't know how much you know about making about Texas barbecue. Nothing. Okay. So Texas barbecue, it's a bit science, it's a bit art, it's a bit passion. It's a bit passion or a bit passion, a bit, a bit, a bit beer, lots of beer. You need lots of beer to go through a long smoke.
