Psychology of Exercise Dependence
April 09, 2023
this isn't limited to just people who take steroids though I know plenty of boys and girls who are natural but they have a huge exercise dependence They you know they have orthorexia They think they eating right because they only eating clean foods or whatever, but the relationship with food is so poor. Their social life is suffering because they're so obsessed with exercise and eating well, and their health just isn't what it should be. But because they are putting so much energy into it, they think it must be good. But really they could be doing themselves a disservice because like where's room for balance then yeah there's room for de-stressing or least mode yeah yeah you know you see those those girls and they'll go i don't they'll look at you and they'll tell you straight up i don't know how girls don't eat i don't know how girls can be anorexic and you're like but you're training like 30 hours a week do you not understand like that's the same thing and you're you're only eating like 1200 calories a day and you're training like 21 to 24 hours a week like do you not understand like you are anorexic you're just using exercise to as the you know not eating anything thing and they're like what i'm like yeah you're fucked up like then you got you got shit and we all do and especially in our industry we're all fucked up like that's why the majority of us got into the industry it's always at least us us guys that have been in it for a while we got into the industry to help people and we love what we do nowadays people get in the industry because i think they're going to make you know seven figures naked because i've been sold a bunch of bullshit but a lot of us got in the industry to help other people because we didn't know how to help ourselves so that became our addiction is transforming people's bodies and their lives and getting them stronger winning contests and that's the way we kind of patted ourselves on the back and kind of had pain avoidance from maybe early childhood issues or even adult trauma and things like that.
