Personal Health Scare and Metabolic Syndrome

April 09, 2023

There's a misunderstanding of what, like you've got, you've got healthy and you've got fit. then you've also got obviously unhealthy and unfit and then you've got the way someone looks and the way someone looks is not truly indicative of how fit they are right when i first when i first started teaching bioseg like full-time and i moved to rhode island um i wasn't feeling right i looked fine i had abs i had you know cephalic vein abs everything i fucking i was still swatting like 600 pounds and i was still you know i was still a unit and i i but i didn't feel right like I wanted to cry after sex and I actually would cry after I masturbated. That was really weird. That's because you're not good at it. And then I'd do it and I'd cuddle myself, you know, and, you know, just there was something I was sad and depressed and there was something not right. So I had, I was like, man, there's got to be something wrong with my testosterone. So sure as shit, I go to the doctor and low testosterone, high estradiol. But, you know, that was all an effect of a higher order thing. So I had all these issues with metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, my fucking triglycerides were like 399. They should be well under 99. My LDL was high. My bloods looked like somebody who was getting ready for a contest prep, and I was not taking anything at all. It was just basically stress and overdoing things. And I had to finally say, shit, man, I got to get my shit together. Like you can't see health. You can only measure health and make assumptions if you're getting the right types of labs and metrics like taking heart rate and measuring heart rate variability and heart rate and measuring things like blood pressure and keeping tabs on all that stuff. Yeah, I think you definitely can't see it, but you absolutely can feel it. and the issue with uh the group of individuals we've been referencing here high bmi as a result of lean body mass is that there's cognitive dissonance associated with they want to look a particular way so they take particular things to achieve that it's it's above what they're naturally capable of and they do not want to recognize the way they truly feel yeah rather they just want to express how they think people think they feel by how they look yeah
