Chapter 13 · SummonYourSuperhuman
Managing Fatigue and Recovery
September 25, 2025
Look, I still have the same thing. I still think I'm 21. And so I'll start training. I'm like, all right, training three days, training four days, training five days. And I'll be like, how long can I sustain this before the level of fatigue is too high or everything hurts? And it's like you get an idea of this, but once you get that idea, then you have to be constructive about it. okay, I was really good on four days. I was really good on like seven hours of training a week. Once I went to like nine, that's when it got rapidly. So now the smart thing would be, let's go back to what worked last time and see, can I ride that a little bit longer? A lot of people will start smashing themselves and then they don't recognize the symptoms that they're overdoing it. And it's like, will more work give you more higher return? Yeah, but only to a point. At some point you're doing so much work that you're now actually going backwards. So you want to have a really good return on investment. You don't want to keep investing more of your time and your energy and getting exhausted doing this stuff. And then actually, let's say you go, you're here and your gains are here and you go to here and your gains are here, then you go to here and your gains are here. You go to here, your gains are here. You're getting a wall diminishing returns.
At some point you go up and it actually goes down. So people need to understand like you have a finite research, you have a finite ability to recover from what you're doing and more is not necessarily better. Less is also not necessarily better. It's a Goldilocks, not too high, not too low. Figure out for yourself where it's just right.
