The Coach's Eye and Posture
September 25, 2025
and that's what computers come to like because they don't have that eye like my eyes are so like i'm sure it's the same with you like does my wife's head in because she's just like stop analyzing bodies like you go for a hike or something and i'm like oh that person's knees like oh that person you know shot like up I can see all the dysfunction in the body You can stop though I can like all I see is dysfunction and you know you talking about someone just puts on shoes and starts running and it like they have so much dysfunction and not enough function to know like where their center is and how to actually move their body. Mechanically they're just not going well and they don't know how to pace themselves and they just start running. They run as hard as they can and then they wonder why everything hurts and they're not getting any faster. Like people don't understand like there's nuances specifics and context you have to have during during part of that and you have that that coach's eye i'll go to cole's not and i try not to do it the first thing i do being a nutritionist is i'm always sneaking a peek in what people are eating so i'm like i see somebody they're really overweight i'm like i already know what's going to be in there look at it you got a couple bucks of shapes in there you got some sugar coca-cola you're well okay you got a rotisserie chicken but that's like the only thing in your basket that's good like i want to help you but I also don't want to give you unsolicited advice. But then you see other people like old, bold men are walking around with that crippled lean. And like a lot of our industry says, well, you don't need to worry about posture. You put the big thing in posture, so do I. It's like everybody, there's no perfect posture. Yeah, but there's acceptable deviations and there's tolerances for posture. It's like if you go and you look at these old people, it's like that is your future. That's your retirement. if you don't recognize it and take care of it now.
