Chapter 10 · SummonYourSuperhuman
AI and the Future of Coaching
September 25, 2025
what's special about what we do at our level of knowledge is not everybody can do it which is why we'll never have to worry about work yeah people go well, AI will get better. It's not anywhere close to what it needs to be. And there's no personal aspect to AI. Zoe, at one point, when asked the AI to write her a weightlifting, Olympic weightlifting routine, it was god awful. Like, there's just no way. I don't think it'll be 20 years before AI gets that advanced. But that's what these young coaches want. They want it to be like AI. They want something that'll spit it out, and they don't actually have to do any work. But it's like, where's the fun in that? There is no fun in that. Do you want to be an expert or do you want to have a machine that's the expert and you just make the money? Because if that's the case, get out of the industry. Like, Luke, if you were a robot, like, one, we wouldn't have, like, gelled when we met, you know, and I wouldn't be continuing to come back to spend time with you. Like, I love just being around you because I always learn something when we chat. You know, it's like I don't want to go speak to a robot and I don't want someone to just spit out a program. Like, there is no fun in that, you know, and it's that trial and error because you know even like we're very good at program design now right like we're doing it such a long time so it's like but we may make a tweak you know if we see something like actually i don't quite like that i might oh change that a little bit perfect you know like that's that's what we want um
