Shifting Away from Dogmatic Beliefs

September 19, 2021

so what's like obviously you've mentioned and you know we know about the cardio thing and things like this but what's like Is there any other big dogmatic beliefs that you've held in the industry that you've had massively turned around in the last few years? Man, a lot. Not in the last few years, but probably about 10 years ago, things started to change. And one of them was the low-carb versus high-carb thing. And I was massively low-carb. Not keto, but modified low-carb, that type of thing. paleo-ish, but not really paleo because I feel like that's pretty silly. I'm not dressing up like a caveman and getting my spear and running into the grocery store, like crawling through the floor at Tesco's, coming up to the fucking beef section and spearing some fucking beef and then making a fire in the middle of the grocery store, right? But the type of thing, right? Meat, veg, meat, veg. I was big into that. And I still am for me. But then I got to where I'm like, okay, I need to be giving people what's good for them. And so for some people that might be high carb, low fat, some people that may be high fat, low carb. Um, so I had to change the way I looked at, at diet diet because I was so far into that one, um, one section of it. And, um, I realized that this stuff has to be basically prescribed for lack of a better word for the specific individual for their personal chemistry, but also what they can actually accomplish, you know, what they can actually be compliant on. So that nutrition was a big one for me Yeah A hundred percent but I still eat a very high protein um low to moderate carb and low to moderate fat And I feel that the best for me but that not for everybody But I do find that that works really well for a lot of people But I got people who eat 70 carbs like 20 protein 10 fat and they just kill it, you know? Apologies for the child dying in the background there for during the end of that last question. Don't know what happened out there. Probably was realizing that she could actually eat carbs the first time in, you know, nine years. Probably. So, I mean, yeah, I think that's an interesting one with like nutrition obviously like we all know how well studied you are and like how you're you know learning more and more about what's optimal in terms of dieting for the individual and how to change certain things
