on the training side of things it's been a lot of like we've gone through a lot we've gone through bodybuilding powerlifting olympic lifting crossfit all this different stuff and then we kind of come out the other side and you know we're not we started in a camp we started in the crossfit camp especially when we started this podcast and our gyms and now we're kind of moving away but you still see a lot of people they hang on to it they want to they want to be a part of this religion but it's not serving them it's not the best for them their knees still suck their shoulders still suck their backs blown out but they love it for you from the muscle nerd side what what is it about training that you guys preach uh we preach you know you should do the training that you enjoy doing i mean and that you don't have to do anything if you don't want to if look if you if you like to power lift knock yourself out but don't tell everybody that's the only way to do it if you're a power lifter or bodybuilder and you hashtag fuck cardio and you tell people that cool that fine and now you can see all these guys having strokes and they on dialysis they having all these issues because they not taking care of the health aspect of things right do you need this stuff to get lean you don need you don need a fucking squat to get lean you don't need to lift weights to get lean i haven't lifted weights in the last fucking nine months i've lost 14 kilos so and i went in we just bought a bunch of equipment put it at the house and i was like i wonder if i'm still as strong as i was when i started dieting i was benching 125 i I went in the gym. I benched 120. I haven't fucking bench pressed in nine or 10 months. It's been all cardio. It's been aerobic conditioning. It's been my diet. It's been jiu-jitsu. That's all I've done because after lifting weights for 30 years, I didn't want to lift weights anymore. I was like, I can't fucking do another squat or another pull-up. I need something else. I found something I enjoyed. I enjoyed choking motherfuckers out. I did that. right now that now that i bought this atlantis equipment now it's like okay i can go in my gym in my underwear and i can go do pull-ups on it so i just started training like two weeks ago and now i'm enjoying it again right so i'm going to start doing a little bit more that but people need to just find something that they fucking enjoy and stop listening to people that say you have to do something right um
