The Information Age and Nuance in Fitness
December 27, 2024
Like everybody's trying to learn everything on YouTube and Facebook and it's good. It's great. Like it's the, we're kind of past the information into the over-information age. So it's like, there's so much good information, but people also have to understand there's also so much bad information and so much contradictory information, right? You were telling me before we got all the, like, you see, like, muscle nurse says the same thing a lot of other people say, and we try to be diplomatic and say, hey, this person's right, but also this person they're arguing with, they're also right. They're both right, depending on the situation. And, but you know what? Like, why don't we use both of those things? So we do things a little bit differently. And that's not great for marketing. What marketing what they want you to do is like get people angry get people frothy go argue with people and have a really firm stance Right So it like Republican or Democrat OK who in the middle of that Libertarians. Nobody's nobody's a libertarian. Like they're not going to do anything with it. So we're like the libertarians of the industry. It's very slow to get traction with with everybody else taking hard stances on shit. But I can't I can't do it morally. It's not to me. It's not the right thing to do. And you got to explain yourself the in-depth concept in five seconds too. Otherwise, no one wants to learn. It's too long then at that point. No nuance, no context. And it's crazy. I've had two posts go viral in the how many years we've been on social media. They were never about anything that was good information. One of them was about me crying in a Harry Potter movie because of Tren, overdoing Tren. And the other one was recently I was talking about a booze and lose diet where I had a client who would only consistently lose weight when she was drinking red wine and would stop consistently losing weight when she was drinking red wine. And both of those blew up. But if you if you go online and you give somebody some really good thing that's going to help them, nobody gives a shit. It's crazy. Well, you know, I think with your stuff, too, you kind of just mentioned this. What I like is you, you know, you kind of, in some of your videos, when you explain certain things, it's like you, you know, you do, you see a lot of like semantics, like people get so caught up in like the semantics of things too. And it's like super important to kind of differentiate those. And it's like, people are just kind of like saying the same thing, but they have different phrases for it. So then they think they're talking about something different. So I think that's always an interesting thing as well.
