Subjective Metrics and Knowing When to Stop

October 13, 2021

Now, Now on that comment I think there a lot of misunderstanding as to okay at what level do we accept all this suckness Like when is it too much And we talked about the metrics and tracking that and everything But I think you know people are willing to diet but then if they say they want to get lean, but that doesn't really add up with how hard they're willing to diet, how hard does someone actually like, how far should they push it? And when do you know, it's too much. I look at subjective objective measurements. So the number one thing is I want to know how you're feeling. If you're not motivated to train, we've probably pushed a little bit too far. If you're really fatigued, probably push a little bit too far, which means we don't have to pull the trigger, but we need to, we need to basically pump the brakes a little bit and get you to the point where you want to actually go to the gym. Now, if you're doing a bodybuilding show, you don't have, you don't have a choice. I mean, no, no one wins a bodybuilding show and says, I feel fucking fantastic. If you go to a bodybuilding show, everybody in the top five, they look like fucking death. They got skeletor face. They're fucking, they're limping around. They're trying to pose and they're doing everything they can not to shake and cramp up. So that would, depending on the context, that's a whole different conversation. But, you know, most people who just want to get lean, it's not that hard of a process. You don't have to push yourself that far. Now you want to get super duper lean. We're having a bit of a different conversation. It's a lot of the same process, but it feels different. And your mental fortitude has to be quite a bit higher for that.
