Chapter 6 · Ali Do Is Win
Establishing a Baseline and Finding Maintenance
October 13, 2021
But if we get you globally eating a consistent amount of calories every day, I'll keep raising those calories until the binging goes away. Now, if the binging goes away, great. Now you're enjoying your diet. You're not hungry all the time. You're not hangry. You're not feeling guilt, stress, and anxiety. And you don't feel like a failure because you keep, you keep, you know, basically driving off the road into the bush. So if we can, if we can get rid of that disordered pattern and build some consistency, build some momentum, that momentum we'll start to build. And then we get a really good baseline of, okay, how many calories can you eat before you gain weight or lose weight Where are we stable If we can find a stable point and maintain that for a small period of time great now I can chip off a couple hundred calories That should give you a good 100 150 grams of weight loss a week. If that's not fast enough, I can keep chipping away another 100 calories until our rate of fat loss is where we want it. And that's the key and to not rush it because people wanna rush this shit. Like we never rushed yours until the very end. It's like, okay, let's get you in a good position. Okay, great. We're 10 weeks out, whatever. Now we can do the low calorie thing because we're only going to do it for a very short period of time. And then we're going to come back out of it.
