Training for Performance vs. Aesthetics

March 22, 2022

the biggest thing i too i think too like because you know my friend, Ed McKay, who I also make fun of for being extremely pale, probably translucent compared to you. Um, he, he was like, dude, you're like keeping your shape. And I was like, I know, like, I think that's why I was okay. Because in the past, when I would get soft or feel soft, I felt, I looked like that. And this time I felt like I looked like I lifted. So what do you think that is a testament to well i think there's just that well yeah part of it a eating for performance we got rid of tried to get rid of as much of the fake foods because you love your ghost bars and your drinks and all that so a lot of us getting rid of you know not that not that artificial sweeteners are bad but at the amount you were taking that there's some possible gut issues and it's possible no transmitter or things like that. So getting rid of that and leaning on more unprocessed foods. I think part of it was moving to Florida where you could actually have sunlight for

more than, you know, four weeks a year and nice weather, you know, there was that. And then, you know, we got to a point where it's like, look, you're conditioned enough. We don't need to do any more cardio. You're going out and your conditioning is back like you were when you were a soccer athlete. So we might as well just pull all that and we'll just lean on the weightlifting. I think that's a big mistake a lot of people make too, is they lead.
