Physiological Leverage and Caloric Deficits

and there's a there's a time and place for going low yeah but you have to be in a position of leverage to go low so i wasn't you know you have to get to a point where you're eating at a sufficient level and that way when we pull calories out or add a little bit more activity that creates a deficit if your maintenance is that low you're tired all the time you're not training well your performance sucks you go out you go for a run you go do your endurance stuff You're like, man, this sucks. I'm not sleeping well. That stuff needs to be corrected first, which means we have to get your calories to a sufficient level. And try to get it close to what we would focus on as like theoretical maintenance. And see how close we can get there. Maybe even get there and put on some weight. And then pull it back down. Go back up. Put some weight on. Pull it back down. and eventually get to a point where you can eat 1800, 2000, 2200 calories, and you just consistently recomp. And then if we have an event, or we have something where you start feeling fluffy, or a little bit watery, or heavy, cool, we can just go down for a few weeks, get rid of that and go back up.
