The Importance of Protein Intake

February 02, 2023

but something that we've been dying to talk about on is why protein intake is so important and how more can actually be better for many people. OK, so, yeah. So, look, if you look again, we'll go into a couple of different viewpoints when you look at the research. Let's let's start at the recommended daily allowance, which is just pathetic, pathetic. You brought that up over offline. Recommended daily allowance. What is that for? So it's basically the minimal amount of a certain nutrient that keeps the majority of the population out of some type of nutrient deficiency issue. So like if I there's a there's a recommended daily allowance of vitamin C so you don't get scurvy. Right. There's a there's a RDA level for vitamin D. So you don't get rickets. Right. And there's a lot of things that most first world country people, unless they're homeless, these are things that we don't deal with anymore. Right But protein protein has its own RDA because out of all the macronutrients protein you have to have protein Like you can you can not have protein because your body can make protein So you you make you ingest amino acids from your protein, your body breaks the protein down, it breaks it down into amino acids and peptides, and then it uses those amino acids and those peptides to create other things, not just muscle, but also hormones and enzymes and everything else, yet also to feed things like your immune system.
