Personal Diet Preferences and Satiety

February 02, 2023

Hello and welcome to 100% Real with Ruby. Today I have part two of my podcast with Luke and this time we're going into just how powerful protein is and how sometimes more is actually better and the benefit. And we also talk about carbs and fats a little and hopefully you get something valuable out of this? I'm like Switzerland. I have, I know what works for me really fast. I can transform my body really quickly because I've done it. You coach yourself for a long time. You get a good idea of that. But for me, really high protein, low to moderate carb and low to moderate fat works really well for me. So I, for me, it's more of a, like a high protein, low energy diet when I'm wanting to lean out. So I prioritize protein and veggies, and then my carbohydrates are fairly low. Now, when you look at people who are really overweight, well, let me go back to that. But when I get really lean, like once I start getting to like single digit body fat, you're if anybody who's been a single digit body fat knows that you're you're never going to be satisfied, you're always going to be hungry, there's nothing you can do about it. But what we find is that adding carbs to that once you're lean has a much higher effect on keeping you satiated for a longer period of time. So I might make a case where if I was 24% body fat, I would probably higher protein, very low carb, moderate amounts of fat, and maybe more of a ketogenic or keto type.
