Challenges of Fat Loss for Small Females

January 24, 2025

Well, I would also say, look, there's nothing inherently wrong with just focus on fat loss. But if you're going to do it for an extended period of time, you want to focus. It's slow fat loss is basically you're looking for a recomp, which means that you're going to go on a smaller deficit, not starve yourself, but just go under eat a little tiny bit. You still are going to have plenty of plenty of fuel to train what you're going to do. So you can't rush it. I would say though, for small females, that isn't really a great idea. Well, I was about to say that. And the problem is, and it goes back to that post that we put up, I think we put up last week, it was a repost. Women, that's again, women have it rough because let's say if I'm, again, 3,200 TDEE and I do a 500 calorie deficit, I can easily lose 400 grams of weight a week. No problem. if you're a small female and your tde is 1700 and you pull that same 500 off to try to lose that same four 450 grams a week you're eating 1100 calories you're gonna be real fucking hungry and that and you're not gonna be able to perform well so it's but but then if you go to a smaller deficit it doesn't take a whole lot to wipe out your deficit so if you reality on most people yeah if you have a really good you're really good monday through friday and on the weekend you kind of splurge a little bit you could wipe your deficit out for the entire week and just a few meals over the weekend. If you're, if you're not cooking for yourself and you're ordering Uber Eats or you're ordering, you're not, you're eating a bunch of stuff out of boxes. If you look at labeling laws, they can be off by law plus or minus 20% calories. So if you're on a 20% deficit and you're eating a lot of stuff out of boxes and not cooking it yourself, you could be, you could think you're in a 20% deficit. You're actually not in any deficit because the labels could be off. Yeah, exactly. And a lot of the time we don't even realize when we're snacking or nibbling or this, that and the other. And you'll think that you're in a deficit because you can have the things that you just had extra. And this also goes back to the fact that most people aren't in a place to diet because you've been fatigued mentally from trying to do it so long. Like when it comes to dieting you need to be in a place where you can give it your 100 and you need to be able to endure it for the period of time that you doing it i have a client right now she in her first phase since the three years she's been with me and she went through a week of hardly any sleep down god knows where with her daughter going through hospital shit with her she she still stuck to her calories she was able to grind through it because she doesn't have the diet fatigue anymore that she came to me with.
