But but when you look at I think in that his situation as well, you got a few a few different things going on. Part part of the the other piece of it is that fiber does regulate things like bile and cholesterol. so in a case like this where somebody has really high total cholesterol and really low hdl cholesterol really high trigs um the first thing i would start to investigate is yeah i'd look at that fiber you need to eat more plants you need to take a multivitamin we need to get we might need to give you something like the doctor recommended a statin to him and um he knew he knew me from our polyp and daisy was a student right from there he thought i was going to go Absolutely not. I went, I think it's a great idea. Like if you had, if your cholesterol was barely up, I'd say that's dumb. Uh, we could take a natural statin like red yeast rice. We could take Bergamot extract. There's a lot of stuff that you could do, but you're, you have dangerously high levels of blood fats. Um, I, I, I'm just going to recommend that you listen to the doctor and, uh, but also, and here we're going to circle back to what I've talked about. I like to work with doctors. I like to talk to my clients and tell them what to say to doctors, what to add to questions they ask. And so he's going to ask the doctor about possibly taking a gram of bergamot extract today, because that in a lot of the studies, 500 milligrams of bergamot extract today, people were able to cut their statin dose in half. So you cut the statin dose in half, you cut the side effects in half. I had a client come to me and I spoke to her on episode 183, but her cholesterol's through the roof her bloods were the worst i've seen and i heard that she tried everything to sort her gut health she went to a naturopath she went to three doctors one of the doctors put her on the galveston diet she comes to me i sought out her stress i sought out her diet put her on a multivitamin a magnesium a vitamin d and i increase her plans to pretty much most of her diet with some carnivore on top of that and yeah you know like her bloods us they're they're like they're perfect she's never seen them so good yeah and this is where it comes down to you need to be careful who you listen to and the quality of your diet matters because your body ain't gonna do shit if it ain't healthy yeah 100 and that's that's the thing like um You know, when you look at conju, bile acids and conjugation of cholesterol, if you're not eating enough fiber, you have not enough bulk to kind of transport that out. So you can have some recirculation of that stuff. And then you, you know, you're only I like what I think is Brian Walsh. You said this to me once is like you are what you eat, digest, absorb and don't excrete. So if you not pooping and if you not if you not making the right things to detoxify and get the stuff out in the gut like bile acids then you going to be made out of what you breaking down and what you trying to push out that you not pushing out. But what we always want to do is we want to look for what's the simplest thing that could fix this. So it's like, okay, what do we know about this person? It's just like what I've taught you about designing a long-term training plan. You have to look at, okay, what is the desired outcome. Where are we going? What's the vision? Where are they starting? Now we have to work from the end goal back to the start and fill it in with training and nutrition lifestyle that makes sense. Same thing with this. I've got to look at where we want to go. We want to get his labs looking really good. Okay. What do we know about him now? They look absolutely fucking awful. He's eating a carnivore diet. He's not eating any plant matter. He's probably not taking a multivitamins, it's okay. What's the easiest solution? If you like that diet, send a diet, but we're gonna start doing half of the carnivore and half vegan. So you're gonna be basically a carnivegan is the new trademark name I'm gonna make for it. And you're gonna take a multivitamin. And if we're monitoring your fiber, if we don't feel like it's high enough, we're gonna increase your fiber by giving you a supplemental fiber like psyllium husk or something like that that can act as a binding agent.
